1. Who we are

Toretto Car Rental is a car rental company in Dubai, UAE ("we", "us"). We decide what data is collected and how it is used, and we are responsible for protecting it.

This policy covers the torettorental.com website, communication with us by phone and WhatsApp, and the conclusion and performance of your rental agreement.

2. What data we collect

Website booking request

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email (optional)
  • Rental dates and delivery location
  • Selected vehicle and your message
  • Website language used to send the request

When you rent a car

  • Emirates ID and UAE driving licence — UAE residents
  • Passport and driving licence — tourists
  • Contact details and delivery / return address
  • Payment details (cards are processed by a payment provider — we do not store full card numbers)

During the rental

  • Salik crossings and traffic fines registered to the vehicle
  • Accident and damage details, police reports and photos
  • Messages and calls with our managers

Technical data

  • IP address and browser type in server logs
  • A session cookie required for the site to work and to protect forms
  • Favourite cars — stored only in your browser, never sent to our server

3. Why we use your data

  • To respond to your request, confirm availability and agree the terms.
  • To conclude and perform the rental agreement: delivery, handover and return of the vehicle, payment.
  • To comply with UAE law: Salik and traffic fines, dealing with Dubai Police, the RTA and the insurance company.
  • To improve our website and service.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent fraud.
  • To send special offers — only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Who we share data with

We only share data when it is needed for your rental or required by law:

  • The insurance company — in case of an accident or damage.
  • Dubai Police, the RTA and the Salik operator — for fines, toll crossings and accident reports.
  • Payment providers and banks — to process payments.
  • Our website hosting provider and messaging services (such as WhatsApp) — when you contact us through them.

All recipients must use the data only for these purposes and keep it secure.

5. How long we keep data

Requests that did not result in a rental are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, and are then deleted.

Rental documents and agreement data are kept for the period required by UAE law and for as long as needed to settle fines, Salik charges and insurance claims that may arrive after the rental ends.

6. How we protect data

The website uses secure HTTPS. Access to requests and documents is limited to staff who need it for their work. We keep our software up to date and store data with reliable providers.

7. Cookies

The website only uses strictly necessary cookies: they keep your session and protect forms against forged requests. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts servers, which means Google receives your IP address. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the site may stop working.

8. Third-party websites and services

Our website links to third-party services such as WhatsApp, maps and social networks. They have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. We recommend reading their privacy policies.

9. Your rights

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data you can:

  • find out what data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate or outdated data;
  • ask us to delete data we are no longer required by law to keep;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

10. Age restrictions

Our services are intended for adults: the minimum renter age is 19 (21 for luxury and sports cars). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
